How can I ever follow up such a risqué image of Illya butt humping a maid? I can’t. Go read Fate/Kaleid Liner.
But here’s a podcast. We’re back up to our 3-man capacity! The new Fall Anime Season 2010 is well underway, about 3 episodes in. This means we can make some predictions and toss out outrageous comments about things being fabulous or not. As expected, many of the popular ones end up in the discussion, such as OreImo and The World God Only Knows. Two others worth mentioning are Star Driver and Togainu no Chi — one is tremendously fabulous and one is NOT. I’d like to cite chartfag again here, as most of the time we run through this list and mention the ones we watch. At the same time, I’d also like to mention that chartfag is apparently going to be busy with real life soon, and he has thus directed us towards Cart Driver’s charts.
And we’ve got an entirely new section called Pick Your Animu!, which is essentially just us picking one anime that we feel is a highlight of the year, or just something that is probably more enjoyable than average. Think of it as a simple recommendation.
Oh! And I managed to exercise some of my Touhou faggotry during the podcast, which made me happy. So I’ll link you a hilarious image if you’re into Touhou and enjoy pop culture references. Be careful of lurking danbooru; while there’s plenty of safe images, it also has NSFW images.
Come listen to our wonderful RAGEcast, which runs the gamut from fabulous to fail.
How fabulous! Then I absolutely MUST listen!

The unbelievable power of Touhou has finally spawned itself an anime as part of an anniversary. Whose anniversary? Thanks to moetron, I now know! If you can’t be arsed to visit the link, ufotable is producing the project as part of a celebration for the 10th anniversary for Anime Tenchou. This is also the most links I have used in a single paragraph!
I’m honestly surprised about this. ZUN, the creator of the Touhou cast and video games, has been outspoken about wishing there to be no official anime. I sympathize with this stance since the Touhouverse is a one man machine. Having your own creation spin out of control is sometimes inevitable, thanks to the volatile nature of the internet. When it combines with a rabid fanbase it often becomes crazy awesome and/or dangerously close to combusting into flames. I think this is a nice thing, and I hope it does more good than bad. Maybe it’ll fall back into relative obscurity, where all the Touhou fans — along with the new ones — can enjoy their Touhou in peace.
Who knows how long this animated project will be? I imagine 5-7 minutes of runtime is plenty. Anyone who has watched a web anime will understand web shorts can work wonderfully — prime examples being The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi-chan and Hetalia. If it’s any longer I’d probably explode. Violently.
I also just realized this will make even more people ask: “WHAT ANIME IS THIS.”

I love acronyms. And so, I managed to shoehorn a series of words into RAGEcast to make it a proper acronym, which I felt represents our podcast a bit more accurately. Because we always seem to be charging our masers for subsequent firings. This word was also coined during our third podcast by Koda-P, and I ended up loving the word.
And thus, I present the renaming of our previously horribly titled podcast:
(R)elevant (A)nime & (G)aming (E)lucidation Podcast
Yay. I feel like I did something today.

Yay E3. My opinions in particular can be rather baseless, but they’re opinions and I’m not trying to persuade otherwise. This E3 was a joke. The only person who seemed comfortable with themselves on the stage was Cliff Bleszinski. Oh, and I almost forgot Mr. ‘Kevin Butler’, but he’s just silly. (In a good way.)
First off, I’m already miffed at Nintendo flaunting how much crap they’ve sold. You can watch the Nintendo conference anywhere – just google it or go ahead and visit your favorite site for gaming media. They’ve sold more? Good for them. I couldn’t care less if they sold 15 million more units than the PS3. But aside from that, the Nintendo conference had Reggie and his fellow corporate buddies speaking to me like I was an idiot. Sure – they have to speak to an audience with a wide range of journalists and just.. people. The way they spoke and delivered their wares seemed that there had to be some applause after everything they said. I felt annoyed after watching the Nintendo conference, uninterested with Microsoft, and angry at Sony. And the 3DS announcement was underwhelming; please get an English speaking person next time, Nintendo. Even then, I don’t think that would have improved it, so I’ll count my blessings for now.
The only thing that made me happy from the Sony conference was Portal 2, and Gabe’s few opening statements were pretty funny. And as much as I may be excited to see another Dead Space 2, I was hoping for a different game. It wasn’t in the conference, but I’m also on the lookout for FFXIV, since I’ve played FFXI and actually stuck with it for a while to realize it’s probably the best Final Fantasy game I’ve ever played.
And meh to Microsoft. Please enjoy the picture of Sakuya watching Ryuu getting his arse kicked.

So I haven’t really done anything concerning Touhou in a while. Just the occasional declaration that I’m a touhou fag. But this time you’re getting actual content!
Click the link to view a Mokou, being our favorite Mokou like usual.
It’s NSFW btw, iykwim.
